With the title already secured with four games to spare, the atmosphere was celebratory, as Mohamed Salah’s late equaliser canceled out an early goal from Ismaila Sarr. Sarr capitalized on a loose pass intercepted by Tyrick Mitchell in the 9th minute to give Palace the lead.

Liverpool gradually gained control, with Luis Diaz coming close on multiple occasions. Trent Alexander-Arnold, making his 354th and final appearance for the Reds, received a warm reception as he came on at halftime, despite earlier boos following news of his departure.
