The National Olympic Community of Sri Lanka (NOCSL) has decided to participate in six international sporting events in 2025-2026.

Accordingly, the NOCSL has already written to the respective national associations to start selecting athletes and officials for the third Asian Youth Games (2025 October 22 to 31 in Bahrain), 14th South Asian Games 2026 from January 23 to 31 (Lahore/Faisalabad and Islamabad, Pakistan), 23rd Commonwealth Games 2026 from June 23 to August 2 (Scotland-Glasgow), 20th Asian Games 2026 from September 18 to October 4 (Japan, Nagoya), fourth Youth Olympic Games 2026 (October 31 to November 13 Senegal, Dakar) and seventh Asian Indore and Martial arts Game 2026 in Saudi Arabia.
