After losing the toss and being put in to bat, England posted a formidable 400/8 in 50 overs — the highest ODI total in history without a single century from any batter. This broke South Africa’s previous record of 392.
England’s Batting Power:
- Jacob Bethell starred with an explosive 83 off 53 balls, including 8 fours and 5 sixes. His powerful display earned him the Player of the Match award.
- Harry Brook supported with a rapid 58 off 45 deliveries, striking 5 fours and 3 sixes.
