Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has confirmed that the sixth edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) will commence at the end of July 2025.

Speaking exclusively to ThePapare, Tournament Director Samantha Dodanwela stated that the tournament is expected to feature five teams, with discussions underway to potentially include a sixth franchise.
